The liner directs the airflow and baffles the heating elements from the work area. **Gas-Tight Atmosphere Design** A gas-tight furnace is designed for heat-treating processes that require a controlled atmosphere within the heated chamber. Lucifer Furnaces’ GT models use a positive flow of inert gas, such as nitrogen or argon, to create the desired processing environment. The environment provides a significantly better finish quality than an air chamber. The furnace features a continuously welded shell, gasketed construction, and sealed fittings to support operation with an inert atmosphere.
