Series 8000 GT - Inert Atmosphere GT Dual Chamber Furnaces

Unique “Space Saver” design offers the convenience and economy of two independently controlled chambers in one packaged assembly. The upper chamber (Hardening) is designed for operation with inert protective atmosphere to 2100°F. This chamber is constructed with a continuously welded shell, gasketed door assembly, and inlet and outlet ports for operation with a positive flow of atmosphere. These models are best suited for constant operation to maintain a dry refractory environment in the work area to minimize oxidation on workloads. The GT system is a less expensive atmosphere alternative compared to our furnaces equipped with alloy muffles (AM Models).

The lower chamber (Tempering) is complete with a stainless steel liner and fan to recirculate heat for uniform temperature. Available in operating temperatures of 800°F (88), 1200°F (82), 1400°F (84), and 1600°F (86).

Ruggedly constructed and rated for work loads up to 50 lbs. per square foot of hearth area. All models are completely wired, assembled, test fired and shipped ready for connection to main power supply. Compact design, fast installation, simple, safe, dependable operation, providing a complete heat treat station in one furnace. Available in over thirty standard models sizes.

  • Multi-layered energy efficient lightweight firebrick and mineral block insulation for maximum heat storage and minimum heat loss.
  • Elements mounted in easy-to-replace holders located on side walls.
  • Hearth plate for load support and floor brick protection in upper chamber.
  • Manual vertical lift upper chamber door with high temperature ceramic fiber gasket with swing bolts and handles for tight seal.
  • Safety micro-switch shuts off power to elements when door opens.
  • Honeywell digital temperature controller with type K thermocouple and magnetic contactor on each chamber.
  • Controls mounted in a side mounted NEMA 1 panel and operate on 115 volts.

Flow meters, regulators, oxygen analyzers, dew point indicators, program controllers, over temperature safety systems, timers, recorders, quench tanks, alternate door arrangements, computer interface, special voltages, gloves and tongs.
